Looking For Discount Used Cars

Published by The Car Alarm Guru under Automotive News

Discount Used Cars Video

It’s easier than at any other time in history to find discount used cars, thanks to the World Wide Web.  Car prices can be compared, features examined, even purchases made on sites like eBay motors and independent car sites.  Understand some tips and tricks to avoid unscrupulous car sales on line.

Online doesn’t mean 100% honest.  People trust newspapers too much, and the same goes for the web.  Just because something is written in a newspaper or mentioned on the radio doesn’t mean it’s 100% true.  The Internet isn’t an exception.  It’s all too easy to create a convincing lie online, even faked images and movie proof.  Unscrupulous individuals flock to the web.  But now the buyer can’t see their cheap suit, smell their cheap cologne, or get a glimpse of the bad condition of the cars or the facility.  Scratches and dents can be edited out by anyone with an image software.  ”As is” is still the rule on the net, but people ignore common sense.  It doesn’t mean everyone is lying or that every deal is a bad one, but don’t go in with closed eyes.

Always have a used car inspected by a good mechanic.  Take it to a garage.  If the whole transaction is made remotely, ask a mechanic to inspect it in your absence.  Many mechanics offer a remote inspection service.  Never rely on the word of the dealer.  An independent opinion is best.  Often $50 now can save a lot more money later.

Purchase the used car on price, not on payments.  Even if the salesman keeps telling you about low monthly payments, ask for the price.  Do not use the dealers’ finance company, either, because that’s another way for them to add in extra that pushes up the real price of the used car.  Pay cash or find your own loan.  Remember to demand a discount for a cash payment.

It is possible to buy cheap used cars.  There is a lot of help for buyers.  But it’s true for used cars just as it is for anything, if a deal looks too good to be true it is.

Honda Automobiles Give Satisfaction

Published by The Car Alarm Guru under Automotive News

Honda Automobiles Video

Honda makes some of the best autos there are, that’s a fact.  That explains the popularity of Honda automobiles.  These autos are made to some of the highest standards of any cars.  That’s even compared to more expensive cars in the same class.  When a person buys a Honda automobile, they’re buying quality and reliability.

One of their best cars is the Honda Civic.  This model comes in highly popular sedan, coupe and even hybrid versions.  There are models around $23,000 as well as more basic ones in the $15K range.  The Civic is also tops in gas mileage.  The coupes and sedans get around 36 miles per gallon on the highway, while the hybrid boasts 46 highway miles per gallon.  Because of the necessity to replace the battery, the hybrid still ends up being more expensive over time.

Honda Civic retains its value.  People who buy them new are often pleasantly surprised when it comes time to sell or trade in for a new model.  When the maintenance schedule is followed someone could sell the old Civic every few years and buy a new one for only a few thousand more.  For people who like driving new cars all the time, that’s a great deal.

Often, folks aren’t looking to sell.  Retained value comes from the fact that the cars hold up well over time.  Maintenance is the key.  If well maintained the car can be around in 20 or even 30 years.  That’s a long time for a well running car.  It becomes a part of the family.  There are better ways to spend money than buying cars every few years.

The Honda Element is also nice.  This small sized SUV is a real bargain.  Adventurous people find this car a perfect fit.  Most of the interior is rubber, along with cloth seats and a plastic dash.  This isn’t just done to save costs.  It was done so the car is easy to clean.  You can hose down the interior when it’s dirty.  Yes, a hose, inside the car.  Try that with leather.

There’s a reason Honda automobiles are so well liked.  That’s the result of a well made car.  Think about a Honda for your next car.People also like the Honda Element.  There’s a lot of value packed into this smaller SUV.  Adventurous people find this car a perfect fit.  It has rubber throughout the interior.  At first this seems to scream cheap, but there’s a method to the madness.  Easy cleaning was the goal.  You can hose down the interior when it’s dirty.  Your eyes aren’t deceiving you, yes a hose  That can’t be done if the dash is fancy wood.

Honda cars are popular for a reason.  Their quality creates that popularity.  Whether looking for a new or used car, consider a vehicle from Honda.

An Inexpensive Car Can Make a Better Option

Published by The Car Alarm Guru under Automotive News

Cheap Cars Video

Automobiles are status symbols.  Everyone has heard of the celebrities with massive collections of expensive cars, or custom built garages to accommodate their cars in the heart of an expensive city like New York.  But for some people an inexpensive car is the way to go.  Cheap in price doesn’t have to mean cheap in quality.  Less expensive can still be functional, and even fun.

One of the ways to obtain a quality car on the cheap is to purchase a used car.  Second hand luxury models are cheaper than new.  High quality used cars have come to be called pre-owned.  These pre-owned vehicles have even managed to pull some long time new car buyers into the used car market.  Think about luxury vehicles.  A Mercedes or Lexus is so well built that even 10 year old cars can still be in excellent condition.  In fact, many people have generations of car buyers in their family who always purchase higher end models that are used.Remember the chauffeur in “Driving Miss Daisy”?  He always bought Miss Daisy’s second hand, luxury cars.

There are also some nice, low cost new cars.  Companies like Hyundai make excellent cars that can be purchased new for under $12,000.  A car like the Honda Civic weighs in at about $15,000 for one of the best engineered cars in the world.  That car lasts a long time, and gets great gas mileage.  These cars are also much cheaper to maintain than luxury cars that often require more expensive parts and even premium grades of gas.

Try the cheaper, not really cheap, luxury cars.  Audi makes luxury cars that compete with Mercedes and Lexus, but generally at the lower end of the price spread for like models.  These are the best engineered in the world, nobody beats them.  This includes the Audi TT which, while not exactly cheap, is a very nice sports car with a lot of power and speed.

Of course some people want cheap, cheaper, cheapest.  They don’t care if the car is held together with chewing gum and wire.  Teens often buy this style of car.  This type of car is good practice for a life of car care, and it gets the job done.  But watch out, the age old adage “You get what you pay for” applies to cheap cars too.  When the car overheats, you won’t be happy.
