Many Options Available With TDS Car Alarms

Published by The Car Alarm Guru at 1:01 pm under Car Alarms

Being able to remotely disable your vehicle in the event of theft is an option may car owners look for and TDS car alarms can offer that and many other options to help you keep track of your vehicle. While tracking services are also available to help with the recovery of a stolen car, most people would prefer to prevent the theft from taking place in the first place.

Many vehicles are now equipped with TDS car alarms and GPS tracking systems that are also used for navigation. You can only find the location of your vehicle, when used in conjunction with two-way TDS car alarms, but you can also find you way around town when in a strange area. In order for GPS to offer driving directions, locations must be downloaded into the system. You can easily download local maps for the areas you travel through most often, as well as ones you to which you anticipate traveling.

Being able to protect your car when you are not using it is important to most car owners, and their primary concern is to prevent the theft. Super loud sirens, with a sound level of at 125 decibels are today’s norm, and many TDS car alarms have that minimum, which is about the same as the noise level inside a club with live music.

Track Stolen Vehicle For Quick Recovery

Systems can be paired to work with other types of units, for example, TDS car alarms can notify you that your vehicle has been broken into or is being moved. You can then contact a separate company you have contracted to monitor its location and relay that information to the appropriate law enforcement agency. Knowing where the vehicle is located as well as its direction of travel can help speed recovery.

Numerous options are available with many of the TDS car alarms, including door, hood and trunk switches along with glass sensors to activate the alarm if window glass has been broken, along with mercury switches used to detect the tilt of your vehicle in event someone attempts to load it onto a two truck without your knowledge.

Bump sensor can also activate the alarm, with many capable of two functions, one if the vehicle has simply been bumped by another vehicle or a person walking by. A harder bump, which could indicate a theft in progress, would activate a different type of alarm, as well as a dialer to call you or the police, if it is so equipped.
